The very first vehicle in their collection, Bruno is a Playforever original. Born from a childhood fascination with tin cars and inspired by the beauty of classic cigar racers, founder Julian Meagher set out to create a debut piece that not only looked classic and stunning, but that was beautifully made from the very best materials available. Months of researching production methods to attain the glossiest surfaces possible; 5mm thick wall sections that had never been achieved before and that produced a solid sound, resonating when tapped; genuine rubber tires as opposed to cheap skin versions. Honest materials that spelled quality, celebrating plastic as a truly exceptional material.

It was following an initial meeting with Nicky King at Habitat in 2004 that Julian's dream finally became a reality - the very first Bruno racing cars came off the production line, and began to grace the homes and playrooms of customers young and old, all over Europe.

The story of Bruno is a labor of love, beginning with a passion and a dream, and ending with a lifelong heirloom toy to be passed on, played with and remembered for generations.

Material: Our toys are constructed from high quality ABS Plastic, and are built to last a lifetime. We use child-friendly, soft-roll rubber wheels. The main body shells are finished with a high gloss, UV proof clear coat for durability and scratch resistance.

All Bruno cars are 3 plus. This means this product is safety tested and recommended for children aged 3 year and above. Enjoyed by people of all ages, young and old.

Safety: We never compromise on detail or quality, and quality control every toy. All our toys are safety-tested to the highest international standards at independent test laboratories. This means you can rely on our toys not only passing the physical and mechanical tests, but also extensive tests for toxicity in all materials and coatings.

For the USA this means complying with ASTM F963-23, the CPSIA, and California Proposition 65 – Phthalate content.

For the United Kingdom and Europe this means complying with EN-71 and REACH regulations.

 All testing carried out by Intertek Testing Laboratories.
